The Mystery of the Park 🌳 Tree | Children’s Story about Friendship and Empathy

In Green Village, the Friendship Club had a new mission that excited all its members. Martina, the leader of the group, was a determined girl of just nine years old, accompanied by her friends Ana, Sofia and the children Leo, Santi and the newcomer Lucas. The club was always willing to help whoever needed it, and this time was no exception.

It all started one morning, when the children found something peculiar in a tree near the school. Small notes were hanging from its branches, moving gently in the wind. Each note had an encouraging message: «You are strong,» «Never give up,» «There is always a reason to smile.» The children were surprised to see that these messages seemed to be written for anyone who read them. They quickly realized that they did not know who had written them, and that aroused their curiosity. Martina, with her spirit of a leader, proposed to investigate the mystery of the «Park Tree,» as they named it.

For several days, the Friendship Club gathered by the tree after school, hoping to discover the author of the messages. Although they spent many hours observing and checking every corner near the tree, they saw no one. The messages just kept appearing, and each day they were different. The children were beginning to lose hope of solving the mystery, but they did not want to give up.

Finally, one rainy afternoon, when they thought no one would show up, they saw a girl approach the tree. She seemed very focused as she carefully hung a note. The children watched her in silence until Martina, with her friendly smile, decided to approach and say hello. «Hi, I’m Martina. Are you the one who writes these messages?» she asked curiously. The girl, a little surprised and somewhat shy, nodded her head. Her name was Lola.

Lola explained to them that she was new at school and that, having no friends, she felt very lonely. At first, she started writing the messages to cheer herself up, but when she noticed that other children were also reading them and seemed to be feeling better, she decided to leave them on the tree. The messages gave her hope that one day she would adjust and find friends.

The Friendship Club, excited to have solved the mystery and moved by Lola’s story, had a great idea. They decided to organize a special event at the school so that everyone could participate. With the help of the teachers, they set up a message box next to the tree so that any child could leave words of encouragement and support for their classmates.

The event was a success. Children from all over the school approached the tree, leaving and reading messages full of love and friendship. For Lola, it was a transformative experience. For the first time, she felt part of something special and surrounded by friends who appreciated her. Now, the tree had become a symbol of unity in Green Village, and Lola was part of the Friendship Club.

From then on, the tree became known as the “Friendship Tree,” and everyone knew they could approach it whenever they needed a little encouragement or a smile. The Friendship Club learned a valuable lesson: sometimes, helping others is also a way of helping yourself. And so, thanks to the messages from Lola and the club, the forest and the school in Green Valley were filled with joy and friendship.
