New Friend in Villa Verde
The Friendship Club and Lucas A Game to Integrate into Green Village
It was a sunny day in Green Village, and the Friendship Club was ready for their first mission. Martina, the leader of the group, had a clear goal: to make Lucas, the new kid, feel welcome in his new home and at school.
Under the big oak tree in the park, Martina gathered her friends and started the meeting. “Lucas feels a little lonely. We must find a way to make him feel part of Green Village,” she said with determination.
Leo, with his magnifying glass in hand and a sparkle in his eyes, proposed: “What if we organize a game in the park? Something that Lucas feels comfortable participating in. A treasure hunt game!” Ana, enthusiastic as always, applauded the idea. “Yes! We can hide clues all over the town and help him find them. It will be fun and will help him get to know the place better.”
The club divided up the tasks. Santi, the group’s protector, prepared the clues in safe and easy-to-find places. Sofia, with her sketchbook, designed maps with illustrations of each clue. Martina decided that each clue would lead to a special place in Green Village, such as the park fountain, Don Tomás’s bakery, and the library. This way, Lucas would get to know the most important sites and some of the neighbors.
On Saturday afternoon, the Friendship Club met at the park with Lucas, who seemed nervous but curious. Martina handed him the first map Sofia had drawn. Lucas smiled and looked at his new friends with gratitude. It was clear that he was already starting to feel like part of the group.
“Come on, Lucas, you’re our explorer!” Ana encouraged him. Leo and Santi followed close behind, ready to help him solve the clues and find the next place on the map.
Each clue was accompanied by a little surprise. At the park fountain, Lucas found a colorful marble. At the bakery, Don Tomás gave them a welcome cookie for Lucas. At the library, the last clue led him to a handmade card from the club that said, “Welcome to Green Village, Lucas. We’re glad you’re here.”
At the end of the game, Lucas had a big smile and a small treasure trove of memories from Green Village. “Thank you, guys… This has been the best day since I arrived,” he said excitedly. Santi patted him on the shoulder, and Martina, with a warm smile, said: “You are now part of our Friendship Club. Green Village is your home.”
That day, Lucas understood that friendship is the greatest treasure of all, and the Friendship Club knew that, with small gestures, they had helped him find his place in the community. The five friends said goodbye to Lucas under the big oak tree, promising to continue helping those in need in Green Village.
